THE VILLAGES – Shirley Ann (Torgeson) Mansdoerfer, 68, entered into eternal life Monday, February 10, 2014. Born in Baudette, MN, she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Mabel (Carlson) Torgeson. Shirley was a manager for Old Mill, Inc. a women’s apparel company. She came to The Villages from Delran, NJ in 2001. For those who knew her Shirley will always be remembered by her kind and beautiful smile and her loving ways. She enjoyed listening to Country & Western, Rock n Roll and Gospel music. Shirley was a member of The Villages Briar Meadow Women’s Club, the Diva Club, and the Water Babes Club. Her hobbies included swimming, golf, water aerobics, playing cards and travelling. Sharing the holidays with family and friends and outings with her lady friends were special pastimes. She was most proud of her marriage of 50 years to her loving husband Tom and her children and grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sisters, Linda Torgeson and Beverly Eaton both of Baudette, MN. She leaves her loving husband Tom, daughters, Karen Sejda and husband Leo of Summerfield, FL. Kerry Donnelly and husband Kevin of Franklin, TN, her prized loving grandchildren Cara and Tommy Donnelly of Franklin, TN a brother, Vern Torgeson and wife Ceil of Montrose, MN and sister, Bonnie Hooper of Stillwater, MN.
The family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation on Thursday Feb. 13, 2014 at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County.
