WOLVES SHOCK CELTICS 17-9;
TAYLOR/MILLER HOT HITTERS

Yesterday’s game was a very satisfying win with excellent defense and hitting and superb pitching. Everyone had at least one hit.

<> Billy Taylor had 4 hits. I
also had 4 hits with 4 RBI’s.
<> Jeff Hageman and Chuck Nebral  each had 3 hits with 3 RBI’s.
<> Ed Kenney and Tom McHugh each had two hits.
<> And everyone else had a hit, usually when it counted the most.

But I have to say that the game’s hero was Lenny Lewis who held the Celtics’ top 4 hitters to 100 points below their usual collective batting average. He had them off balance all day and forced them to hit his pitches rather than wait and tee off on a fat pitch.

We have another challenge on Thursday against the Wizards, but if we play like we did on Monday, we should be in a good position to win.   -Dave

BULLS,  AS  A  TEAM,  WON TODAY

After today’s  game,  the  Bulls were not  judged by  the color  of  their uniforms,   but  by  the  content  of  their  character.   Trailing  13 to 4  in  the  fifth  inning  to  a very formidable  team  like  Larry Liotta’s   Pistons,   the  Bulls  came  roaring  back   to  win   22 – 15.   It would  be  a  waste  of  time  to  itemize  each  players  individual   numbers  because  that  didn’t
matter.  It  wouldn’t tell the whole  story. The   team, as  a  TEAM,  banded  together  to  pull this  one  out.    You’ve  never  seen  a team  pick each  other  up  like  this  one  did.   Perhaps  our  recent  and  first  loss  showed us what we  can  do.
