Albert Thomas Menegay, 96, The Villages, FL, passed away peacefully at the Villages Hospice after a long bout with cancer. He was born in Canton, Ohio and moved to The Villages approximately 20 years ago. Mr. Menegay was a retired former owner of Menegay Machine & Tool Company in Canton. He was a veteran of World War II, and member of the Knights of Columbus; N.T.M.A. He was preceded in death by his first wife Jean. Survivors include his wife of 44 years Shirley; sons: James, Richard (Jeanette), John Randall (Shelly), daughter Suzanne (Austin) Stout; stepchildren: Cheryl Hoffman, Harold “Bud” (Susan) Zeiger, Diane Grossi and Beth (Andy) Polovischak; 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Respecting Al’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. Al was a kind, caring, gentle man and will be missed so much by our family.
