David Spence Henderson, December 27, 1931 – March 16, 2014. He was a longtime resident of The Villages with his loving wife Nancy. Served in the U.S. Air Force 1951-55, then worked at United Airlines for 32 years. Born in Oakland, California, he moved to Seattle with first wife Beverly in 1961 and raised four children-Kathryn, Christine, Cynthia, and Daniel. He married Nancy in 1983 and became a second father to her three children-Debbie, Jerry, and Cheryl. Dave and Nan came to Florida in 1993 and enjoyed many activities and travels together. He is remembered with love by all his family, including his 10 grandchildren. He said this after the diagnosis of terminal cancer in January: “Hey, I’m 82, and I’ve had a really good life. I’ve been a lucky guy.” Services to be held on April 2, 10:45 a.m., at Florida National Cemetery. A celebration of life in the Seattle area will follow at a later date.
