RAPTORS ROLL ON TO 12TH CONSECUTIVE WIN
KINGS SLIP BACK INTO “W” COLUMN
JAZZ RALLY FOR WALKOFF WIN
TIMBERWOLVES-9 WARRIORS-19
-Dave Miller, T-Wolves manager, reporting
Hi Guys,
Well yesterday was just one of those days where we were out hit and out played in the field. Our defense was a little spotty. Although there were no errors charged to either team, we had some defensive chances that didn’t materialize.
The Warriors’ big hitters performed as expected. However I think the major difference was that the bottom of their order produced a lot of hits and made some eye popping catches that were surprising. They all just had a good day.
We were in the game up until the last couple of innings, and I think we can beat them if we see them again in the playoffs.
As for the playoffs, if we win our last two games against the Cavaliers and the Bulls,
I believe we’ll secure 8th place and the final bye for the opening round. That’s because we’ll have beaten the teams who could be tied with us. Naturally though, this is a cursory analysis and would have to be verified by Professor Sanchez as I’m just a humble manager and the Board doesn’t require IQ tests before they select us.
Yesterday’s T-Wolves hitting results:
> Larry Conway was 3-4 with a triple and 3 RBIs
> Jerry Hudson was 3-3 with 1 RBI
> Dave Miller was 3-3 with 1 RBI
> Jim Furtado was 3-4
> Lenny Lewis was 2-3 with 2 RBIs
> Ed Kenney was 2-3 with a home run and 1 RBI
> Dominic Fucile was 2-3
> Tom Mc Hugh was 2-4
> Chuck Nebral was 2-4
Well, that’s it for now. Next week is a big week; so have a good weekend
and don’t get hurt. Dave

Sub Dennis Hartman delivered a triple
Lakers – Pete Zesinger and Ed Herring had 3 hits each
Four Lakers – Jack Teal, Greg Auclair, Dave Albert and John Arruda – had 2 hits each
Five subs delivered 6 hits, including a home run, for the Lakers
CELTICS-13 BUCKS-10
-Don Barry, Celtics manager, reporting
Good win today considering we needed two subs. We managed to win with some of our top players missing. We played the Bucks, who have a much better team than their record indicates. They have the kind of team you have to watch out for in the playoffs. We managed to beat them 13-10. I give a lot of credit to our pitcher Bob Russell, who stayed ahead of the hitters and put them in a position where they swung weakly to protect the plate. We had some good hitting from Bill Oar 4/4 and two doubles, also from birthday boy Dave Snow 3/4 and a triple, Don Barry 3/4 and a triple and also Paul Worthington 3/4.
BOBCATS-13 CAVALIERS-8
-Sal Riggio, Bobcats manager, reporting
In a close well-played, back-and-forth game, the Bobcats (7-8) used five home runs to defeat the Cavaliers (7-8) 13-8. Edson Phelps and Jim Gioia both connected for two homers while winning pitching Dave Bigelow also belted a four bagger. Dave Paul produced a four for four game for the second time in a row.
Ken Carroll homered for the Cavs while manager Mike Thurik and Jerry Wood added three hits apiece to the box score.
