A Villager is frustrated after an Amazon delivery van damaged his lawn.
Roger Baron lives on a dead-end street on Jello Drive in the Village of Waters Edge. His Ring camera recently captured images of an Amazon delivery driver attempting to make a tight turnaround after a delivery. The driver was unable to complete the maneuver without driving over a portion of Baron’s lawn.
“To have somebody in a delivery van drive across the lawn like that is frustrating. I understand that I live on a dead-end, but there’s only two houses on this street. When you enter, you can see before you turn in that you have to turn around,” Baron said.

His frustration grew when he attempted to contact Amazon to make the company aware of the incident.
“It took me 90 minutes of texting and chatting with Amazon to finally get somebody on the phone. Then, they told me that they would have someone contact me in a few days,” Baron said.
While the damage may not be severe, Baron said it is a problem that could have been avoided.
“I don’t expect that there’s a lot of damage, but it’s extremely frustrating to try and keep your lawn looking good with the water restrictions and everything else that we’re dealing with,” said Baron, who bought his home in 2025 in Florida’s Friendliest Hometown.
