The Rainbow Family & Friends Club in The Villages raised $9,000 Saturday in their paper shredding event at Buffalo Ridge Animal Hospital in The Villages.
The event benefited the Leesburg and Sumter County Animal Humane Societies. The total was announced Monday.
“We had to close down the first shred truck when it reached it’s capacity of 10,000 pounds of paper,” said Peggy Garvin, of Rainbow Family & Friends Club.
The club said “thank you” to all who helped make the event a success.
