THE VILLAGES – Brenda Joyce Stafford, 72, passed from this life, Tuesday April 8, 2014. Born in Rockingham, NC, she was the daughter of the late Bernie and Nellie (Hudson) Simmons. Brenda was a retired real estate agent. She came to The Villages from Virginia Beach, VA in 2003. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, The Villages, and enjoyed playing bridge and golf. Brenda was a great cook but her passion was dancing at “Katie Belles”. She was most proud of her marriage of 49 years to her husband John and her family. Brenda leaves her husband John H. Stafford, son, John H. Stafford, III and wife Ashley of Ensenada, CA, daughters, Melinda Stafford, The Villages, FL, Kimberly Loprete and husband Mike of Edgewater, MD, a sister, Jean Birge of Norfolk, VA, four grandchildren, Ashley Loprete, Ryan Loprete, Samantha Stafford, Colin Lynch and great granddaughter, Echo Stafford. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
