Fran passed away early Tuesday morning April 8 after a long battle with cancer. She had just celebrated her 76th birthday on March 17th and her 57th year of marriage with her husband Dick on March 30th. She is survived by her husband Dick Traylor, two sons Richard Jr. (Kathleen), and Gary (Karen), by three grandsons Daniel, Curtis, and Keith; one great grandson; three sisters Peggy, Linda, and Brinda; and one brother Payton Tomlinson Jr. Fran was born in Lynchburg, Virginia but with her husband spent the majority of their life out west. They moved to The Villages in 2002 from Salt Lake City, Utah. She held many different types of jobs during her life but her favorite was selling fine jewelry for a major department store as well as managing the fine jewelry department for a number of years. She spent many years growing African Violets and was president of the Salt Lake City, Utah African Violet Club for a number of years. After not being able to care for her violets, she turned to beading and that became her passion in her later years.
