A new traffic light should be in place on Colony Boulevard by mid- to late-June.
The Project Wide Advisory Committee heard an update on the signal installation Monday morning from Sam Wartinbee of District Property Management.
The traffic light will be installed at the point where golf cart traffic meets vehicular traffic on Colony Boulevard near the Colony Cottage Recreation Center.
As the summer heat approaches and traffic thins out, Community Watch will be adjusting its staffing at the intersection.
Scott Wilder of Community Watch said his department will work with the Recreation Department to determine peak usage at the popular recreation center.
