
A Villager was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence after he left late Friday night from City Fire restaurant at Lake Sumter Landing.
Thomas John Lindbeck, 70, pulled from a parking spot at City Fire at 11:30 p.m. Friday and drove past a red light at Canal Street and Old Mill Run, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
Lindbeck told the deputy that he had consumed two rum and Cokes at City Fire, the arrest report indicated.
He failed field sobriety exercises and was taken to the Sumter County Detention Center, the arrest report indicated.
Lindbeck was cited for DUI, having an expired driver’s license and running a red light. Bond was set at $500.
