THE VILLAGES – Vivian Kunitzky-Golle, 69, passed away, Sunday, May 4, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late Vincent (Jim) and Carmela (Mildred) Sciascia. Survivors include her son Michael of Brooklyn, NY; her son Thomas and his wife Laura and three grandchildren Sophia, William and Sarah of Norwalk, CT; her best friend Maryann Lanier of Long Island, NY, whose daughters Megan and Brooke considered Vivian a second Mom; and all of the surviving members of the Sciascia, Viggiano, Kunitzky, Golle and Colonna families. Vivian was first and foremost a proud mother who raised her two sons as a single mom with an abundance of love, care, determination, and self-sacrifice. She was complex at times, but a generous and thoughtful person who enjoyed the act of giving and would go to any lengths to help those around her. She loved to dance and had a good sense of humor (she would often joke about outliving all four of her husbands…..and she did). She enjoyed a long career as a Tax Examiner with the Internal Revenue Service, where she distinguished herself and helped many. Vivian and her late husband Richard Golle moved to The Villages in 2005. The family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation to be held on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Timothy Catholic Community on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, 8:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to “The St. Vincent DePaul Giving Tree”, C/O St. Timothy Catholic Church, The Villages, 1351 Paige Place, Lady Lake, FL 32159.
