The Villages – Aurea Biscocho Elvambuena, 70, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014. Aurea moved to The Villages in 2005 from Gary, Indiana where she had lived for over 30 years, working at St. Catherine Hospital as a Medical Technologist. She was a longtime member of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church. Aurea was dedicated to her family and friends, loyal to the end. She had a bubbly personality; she was artistic and creative in many ways. Family events were always a big production, planned to the last detail. She loved her grandchildren “her kids” as she referred to them; always spoiling them and her husband. She was a great listener.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Felipa Biscocho and one brother, Rico Biscocho.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Roland Elvambuena; children, Ariel Elvambuena (Ivey Gayahan), Rachel Tischinski (David), Eric Elvambuena (Emily Ryou); two grandchildren, Hayley and Brady Tischinski; special dog, Hannah; eight siblings, May Biscocho, Dan Biscocho, Aida Biscocho, Mario Biscocho, Eddie Biscocho, Fe Schantz, El de Rosales and Lito Biscocho and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 11, 2014 from 2 – 5 PM with a prayer service at 4:30 PM. Arrangements by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages, Florida.
