A 52-year-old Wildwood man was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence Saturday night after telling a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy he had consumed whiskey 10 drinks.
Michael H. Saylor was pulled over after driving 72 mph in a 55 mph zone shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday on State Road 35 near County Road 551 in Bushnell, according to the arrest report.
When he was pulled over, Saylor told the deputy he had consumed 10 whiskey drinks at a local bar and “probably shouldn’t be driving,” the arrest report said.
Saylor was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center where bond was set at $500.
