rash herbert-1Herbert Eugene Rash, 72, of Wildwood passed away Monday, May 19, 2014. Mr. Rash was born September 20, 1941 in West Chester, PA to the late Herbert Morris and Catherine (Greer) Rash. He moved to Wildwood in 1980 from PA. He was a U.S. Army Veteran joining the Army in 1959 he served during the Cold War. He was a retired truck driver, a member of the Wildwood Church of Christ and a past member of the American Legion. He enjoyed baseball and NASCAR and even did a little racing in his younger years. Survivors include his sons, Herbert John Rash of Sound Beach, L.I., N.Y. (Lori Waugh, Virginia Beach) and Michael Dean Rash (Susan) of Scotch Plains, daughter, Tracy Mauldin (Clay) of Lake Panasoffkee; stepsons, Eugene Harvey Slone, Jr. of Bolivar, N.Y. and Matthew Joseph Slone of Wildwood; sister, Janet R. Suter of Kennett Square, PA.; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Rash will be held 8:00pm, Thursday, May 22, 2014 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be 10:00am, Friday, May 23, 2014 in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
