Ronald “TAD” LaRue Williamson, Jr. , 55, passed away May 15, 2014. He was raised in Wildwood, FL and attended Lake Sumter Community College. He moved to Georgia in 1982. Tad worked as a computer Technician for several different companies in Florida, Arkansas, and Georgia, the last two being Smith, Gambrell & Russell Law firm and Oconee Regional medical Center, both in Georgia. Tad earned his HAM radio license in high school and continued this hobby throughout his life participating in contests, events and making contacts from around the world. Tad also enjoyed riding motorcycles and loved to cheer his favorite teams, the Florida Gators and the Detroit Red Wings. Tad will be remembered for his out-going personality, grand sense of humor, optimism, and zest for life. Tad is survived by his wife of 16 ½ years, Karen Rutschow Williamson of Eatonton, Georgia; his mother, Kay Jones Williamson; his sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Ronnie Moore; his maternal grandmother, Lynn Jones all of Wildwood; and countless family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, The American Heart Association, the American Red Cross, the American Radio Relay League, or to another charity of your choice.A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31st at 11 AM at the Wildwood United Methodist Church.
