A Summerfield couple was arrested Sunday on charges of growing marijuana.
Arrested at their home at 9800 SE163rd Lane were 70-year-old Sharryn Brown and 64-year-old Bradley Brown.
Marion County sheriff’s deputies were called to the residence after Sharryn Brown threw a glass bowl at her husband, striking him in the hand. When a deputy attempted to handcuff her, she tried to hit the deputy with a cordless phone. She then she told a deputy that her husband was growing marijuana in the backyard.
Eight marijuana plants were located by deputies.
Sharryn Brown is facing charges of marijuana production, battery on a law enforcement officer and domestic battery. Bradley Brown is facing a charge of marijuana production.
