Standard & Poor’s Ratings Service has notified Sumter County that it has retained an “A” bond rating.
Commissioners received the good news in their meeting Tuesday evening at the Historic Courthouse in Bushnell.
A contributing factor in the Standard & Poor’s rating was the outlook for county revenue. Bright spots include the half-cent sales tax and continued population growth in the county.
