Villager Rich Lambrecht is resigning his positions on the Amenity Authority Committee and Community Development District 4.
The announcement was made Wednesday afternoon by District Manager Janet Tutt at the meeting of the Village Center Community Development District Board.
Lambrecht, 70, of the Village of Calumet Grove, suffered a stroke in late April.
Lambrecht’s resignation likely will be discussed at Friday’s meeting of CDD 4 which has the authority to appoint Lambrecht’s successor on both CDD 4 and the AAC.
In his letter of resignation letter, Lambrecht has reportedly made it known that it is his desire to see CDD 4 Chairman Don Deakin succeed him on the AAC. In that scenario, Deakin would continue to serve on CDD 4. Lambrecht indicated he would like to see Cliff Wiener succeed him in the Supervisor Seat 1 on CDD 4.
While CDD 4 will meet Friday, it is seen as unlikely that a successor will be named at that meeting. CDD 4 Supervisor Paul Kelly will not be in attendance at that meeting and may also miss the August meeting.
The makeup of the AAC is certain to see other changes in the weeks ahead.
Lady Lake/Lake County representative Jo Weber, who recently took the reins as Rotary District governor, is not running for re-election to the AAC.
Frank Kirschenheiter, Richard Jones and Lowell Barker will be in a three-way contest to succeed Weber.
Carl Bell of District 1 and Ann Forrester of District 2 are both seeking another term.
Tom Fetherling is running against Bell and Marty Rothbard is running against Forrester.
