Rich Lambrecht’s resignations from both the Amenity Authority Committee and Community Development District 4 were formally accepted on Friday.
Lambrecht’s resignation letters were read into the record and accepted with “great regret” by CDD 4 supervisors.
In his resignation letters, Lambrecht, who suffered a stroke earlier this year, made clear who he would like to see succeed him – CDD 4 Chairman Don Deakin on AAC and CDD 4 resident Cliff Wiener in the Seat 1 supervisor position. However, in prior discussion, CDD 4 members had agreed they would not make such an appointment based solely on an outgoing supervisor’s recommendation. Thus, CDD 4 will open up the application process. The deadline for application would be July 30.
The candidates for both AAC and CDD 4 could be interviewed and potentially appointed on Aug. 8. The new CDD 4 member could be chosen and seated to participate in the Aug. 8 meeting.
The Village Center Community Development District has tentatively scheduled a special meeting on Sept. 8 to swear in the new AAC member. That would allow the new member to be seated and take an active role in the Sept. 10 AAC meeting.
