Colony Boulevard has reopened to vehicular traffic following the installation of paver bricks.
It is another step toward the eventual installation of a traffic signal at the point where golf-cart traffic meets automobile traffic.
District officials have been concerned for months about the volume of traffic on Colony Boulevard, particularly between Colony Cottage Recreation Center and and Colony Plaza shopping center.
Community Watch has been a presence at the intersection since this past October.
Thanks in large part to Community Watch, there have no accidents at the intersection.
