A 27-year-old woman who resides in Villa De La Vista West was arrested by Lady Lake police following a golf cart accident at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 5 on Paige Place.
Angela Marie Gibson was located by police following the single-vehicle golf cart accident and appeared to be intoxicated, according to the arrest report. When police arrived on the scene, EMS personnel were already there rendering aid to a four-year-old who had fallen from the golf cart, according to the arrest report.
Gibson told an officer she was driving the golf cart trying to get away from her boyfriend, the arrest report indicated.
Gibson was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and driving while license suspended.
She was transported to the Lake County Jail where bond was set at $15,000.
