Former Amenity Authority Committee member and Community Development District 4 supervisor Rich Lambrecht is now under hospice care.
Lambrecht, a resident of the Village of Calumet Grove, suffered a stroke in late April.
“He has suffered a series of mini strokes and is now under hospice care,” Property Owners Association President Elaine Dreidame told members of the AAC in their meeting Wednesday morning at Savannah Center. “It’s tough news to take.”
Don Deakin attended his first AAC meeting as the body’s newest member.
He has been appointed to take Lambrecht’s place.
While honored by the appointment, Deakin conceded Lambrecht’s shoes “would be difficult to fill.”
Members of the AAC are planning to honor Lambrecht’s service with a resolution. It appears the resolution will be ready for the AAC chairman’s signature on Monday.
