A 51-year-old Fruitland Park man was arrested on a charge of disorderly intoxication after police officers were called out twice Sept. 17 to a verbal altercation.
Fruitland Park police were called at 12:45 p.m. to the 200 block of W. Berkman where David Franklin Newton was arguing with another individual, according to the arrest report. Police were able to separate the two.
About a half hour later, police were called to the scene again and found Newton walking through neighbors yards with an open can of Natural Ice beer, the arrest report indicated. It also indicated that Newton was acting in a belligerent manner.
