A 27-year-old Wildwood man is being held on $42,000 bond after allegedly sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
Brian Keith Pennington is facing charges of sexual assault, kidnapping and battery in connection with a Sept. 12 incident at his home on Lawrence Street in Wildwood.
He was arrested by Wildwood Police during a traffic stop Tuesday. Officers were armed with a warrant for Pennington’s arrest.
He allegedly called the victim who was in Daytona and threatened to burn down her mother’s house and put a pistol to her mother’s head, according to the arrest report.
The victim then drove from Daytona to Pennington’s residence.
When she arrived, a physical altercation soon followed in which Pennington allegedly punched, choked and bit her. He then forced her onto a bed and sexually assaulted her, according to the arrest report.
Following his arrest by Wildwood police, he was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center.
