A Community Development District 4 supervisor has indicated that he thinks the district should move ahead with golf cart path striping.
The issue of striping has been bogged down in the Amenity Authority Committee since December.
CDD 4 Supervisor Paul Kelly said he thinks the board should move ahead and stop waiting for action by the AAC.
“A lot of our residents were passionate about this issue,” Kelly said.
CDD 4 Chairman Don Deakin, who serves on the AAC, encouraged his fellow supervisors to wait and see what happens next in AAC.
At least one new member will be joining the AAC after the November election, he said.
“You’re saying wait until another member comes in. By the time that board member comes on and when a vote comes up again that’s at least another quarter. You’re talking about $1,100 or $1,200 about a safety issue. Let’s do it and ask for reimbursement,” Kelly said.
CDD 4 supervisors decided to put striping on next month’s agenda and to encourage residents to join in the meeting and share their feelings on the issue.
