Do you like a fast pace?  Are you good with numbers? Tax season is rapidly approaching and Tax-Aide needs volunteers to work in Sumter County, Lady Lake and Fruitland Park libraries as well as recreation centers in The Villages.  You don’t need prior experience preparing taxes, but need good computer skills and be able to work under pressure.  You can serve as either a Counselor who prepares tax returns, or a Client Facilitator who functions in a support role by checking in taxpayers, checking documents, and keeping records.  Client Facilitators with computer experience are also needed who can be trained to use a new automated appointment system that will be implemented this year. Training is provided in January for all positions, and volunteers are asked to serve 1-2 days per week during tax season (Feb 2-April 15, 2015).
