The Villages is looking to continue its winning tradition as preparations begin for the Ms. Senior Florida Pageant.

In 2011, Village of Bonnybrook resident Terry Vece claimed the Ms. Senior Florida title. She went on to compete for the national title in Atlantic City, N.J.

This year, Villager Ann Pelle was second runner up in the Ms. Senior Florida Pageant.

And a previous Ms. Senior Florida Pageant runner up, Sharon Kuhs this year claimed the title of Ms. Wisconsin. At age 74, she was the oldest ever to claim the title.

The requirement to be a contestant in the Ms. Senior Florida Pageant (The Florida Chapter of Ms. Senior America) is to be 60 years of age or better and able to express the “age of elegance” through a philosophy of life, talent, evening gown and interview with the judges. The judges are to look for a lady with inner beauty and an energetic and positive outlook on life and the world. The purpose of the Ms. Senior Florida Pageant is to motivate and inspire.

Sharon Kuhs, an avid twirler, was recently named Ms. Wisconsin.
