Former Miss Sumter County Connie Foster has been chosen as the director of the 2014 Miss Beef and Boogie Pageant.
“This year as the pageant director, I would like to welcome any young lady from newborns to eighteen to compete,” Foster said. As the new director Foster has made several changes to the previous year’s formats including adding a denim wear competition in older categories. Contestants will have an opportunity to showcase their personality by creating a denim wear outfit to model on stage. Contestants also have the option to compete in additional categories such as prettiest eyes, prettiest dress, and photogenic.
The Miss Beef and Boogie Pageant will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Sumter County Fair Grounds. Winners will make appearances at the Beef and Boogie Festival on Nov. 8 and will have the opportunity to represent and promote the festival at events throughout the year.
