A 33-year-old Tallahassee woman was killed Friday night on the Florida Turnpike at Mile Marker 302 in Sumter County.
Erika Kubik was driving a 2005 Honda Accord at 8:10 p.m. when for unknown reasons, the vehicle traveled into the center median of the roadway, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
The vehicle was redirected and traveled back across the southbound lanes of the Turnpike and onto the west shoulder and struck a speed detection pole.
Kubik suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene of the crash, the FHP report indicated.
