Judith (Judy) Kingston, 75, The Villages, FL, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014. Born in Medford, Ma, Judy was the oldest daughter of the late Charles and Blanche (Weston) O’Connell. She graduated from Quincy HS (MA) class of 1957. Judy worked as a bank teller and in retail before retiring to the Villages in 2003 from Pembroke, MA. Judy was active in Grandparents Raising Grandchildren in MA and continued her affiliation while in the Villages. She enjoyed playing cards and Bunco with friends, going to shows, dining out and travelling. She served as a secretary/treasurer for the Villages Visually Impaired Persons support group and belonged to the Red Hat Ladies and St. Timothy’s Widows Group. Wife of the late Lawrence P. Kingston, she is survived by her daughter Debra Green of Jacksonville, FL and sons, Lawrence Kingston (Diane) of Rockland, MA; Brian Kingston (Leslie) of Havertown, PA; Michael Kingston (Cynthia) of Amarillo, TX; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandsons. She is also survived by her sister, Dr. Patricia Keene (Warren) of SC and ME and brother, Richard O’Connell (Caryl) of Manchester, CT. She is pre-deceased by her grandson, James T. Sofras and her brother Joseph C. O’Connell (Helen) of Wollaston, MA. A memorial service will be held at the Beyers Funeral Home , 134 North Highway 27/441, Lady Lake, FL 32159 on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of Marion County (FL) – http://www.hospiceofmarion.com/.
