The enchanting world of musical boxes is on display through Sunday at the Eisenhower Recreation Center.
A Wurlitzer 105 Band Organ greeted those arriving in the recreation center parking lot on Friday, the first day of the three-day event. The organ is owned by Howard Wyman, an avid member of Musical Box Society International, the organization putting on the show.
“I have a great love of this machine,” Wyman said.
The organ was performing Christmas classics, perfect for the season.

Inside, sisters MaryRuth Church of the Village of Mallory Square and Jane Eaton of the Village of Fernandia, were delighted by all of the musical boxes on display.

“It takes me back to my childhood,” Church said.
Craig Darlak performed with a Dutch Street Organ that he found in an antique store. It was originally built in 1945.
Villager Jack Hostetler, an MBSI member, was thrilled to pump one of the organs for the crowd.
“You have to have a strong right arm to do this,” he said.
The antique automated mechanical musical instruments will be on display from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
