Gladys J. Viesto, 78, The Villages, FL, passed from this life Saturday, January 3, 2015. Born in Stamford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys (Lewandowski) Kaswer. Gladys was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was most proud of her marriage of 57 years to her husband Frank and her family. She moved to The Villages from Stamford, CT in 2006. She enjoyed playing bingo, pinochle, doing crosswords, puzzles and going to movies. She always enjoyed a good cup of coffee. Gladys is survived by her husband, Frank M. Viesto, and children, Frank J. Viesto (Anna Marie) of Oxford, CT, daughters, Mary Lou Yacobellis, of The Villages, FL, Bernedette Suppa (Tony) of Norwalk, CT, son, Paul J. Viesto (Tammy) of Newtown, CT, grandchildren, Angela, Theresa, Jiovanni, Christina, Michael, Jessica and the late Matthew who passed in 2014; a brother, Joseph Kaswer (Blanche) of The Villages, FL and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation to be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church, The Villages on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. Burial will be held at a later date in Stamford, CT. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
