One of the owners of Chefs of Napoli restaurant in Wildwood was arrested after he allegedly hit a man with a yellow “wet floor” sign during a dispute.

Antonio Cacace, 38, was jailed at the Sumter County Detention Center on $1,000 bond as a result of the dispute which took place Wednesday.

The arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office indicated that Cacace had gotten into an argument with the man.

He initially denied striking him, but later admitted he had, the arrest report indicated.

The dispute took place outside the restaurant and was reportedly work related.

In addition to operating the Italian restaurant on U.S. 301, he has been a part of a restaurant in Hernando County.

Cacace was born and raised in Italy but brought his culinary talents to the United States when he was a young man.
