Michael Palazzo, The Villages, FL, passed into his heavenly home on January 24, at Ocala Regional Hospital. He was born Aug. 7th 1932 in Yonkers, N.Y. He was a resident of The Villages since 2004 and previously lived in Hyde Park, NY where he owned John Buchanan Carpet Store for 44 years. He served proudly in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Poughkeepsie Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. He truly lived The Villages lifestyle particularly and enjoyed pickle ball, golf and softball. He was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, Wildwood, FL. Family was Michael’s most important priority. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Shirley, beloved children: son Dennis, daughters Milyn Kukon and Sandra Redmond (Mark), stepsons William Keal (Ida) and Andrew Keal (Heidi), and stepdaughter Barbara Taylor (Scott); 18 cherished grandchildren: John, Justin, & Jordan Kukon, Michael, Marc, & Christopher Palazzo, Francis & Alexa Comesanas, Brittany & Kasey Redmond, Joshua, Elisabeth (LaPorte), Jennifer, & Gloria Keal, Grace & Alexander Taylor, Leena & Owen Keal . His brother Tony and several nieces and nephew survive him. A Memorial service will be held on Thursday January 29, 2015 at 2 p.m. at The First Presbyterian Church, Wildwood, Florida. Burial will be at a later date in Poughkeepsie, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 203 Barwick Street, Wildwood FL 34885 or a charity of your choice.
