Jim Marcum, 65, The Villages, FL, passed from this life Friday, January 23, 2015. Born in Louisville, KY, he was the son of the late Marshall and Reba (Embry) Marcum. Jim was a manager for General Electric Co. of Louisville. He retired in 2004 after 37 years of service. He served in the Army Reserves and was a member of the Fern Creek Masonic Lodge of Louisville. Jim moved to The Villages in 2006. Golf was his passion which he enjoyed to the fullest. Besides his parents, Jim was predeceased by a brother, Harold Embry. He leaves his wife, Brenda (Sapp) Marcum, and brothers, Joe Marcum and Bill Embry. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Service 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages on Saturday January 31, 2015 at 1 p.m. A Gathering will follow from the end of service until 3:00 PM. Burial will be private.
