A 25-year-old woman was ticketed after her brakes failed and her car collided with the rear end of a Duke Energy truck.
Jamie Lee Sanville of Leesburg had been traveling on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 at Banana Street in Lady Lake at 4:19 p.m. Feb. 3 when her vehicle’s brakes failed and her 2004 Nissan Maxima struck the rear end of a Duke Energy truck driven by Raymond T. Mullen, 61, of Umatilla, according to an accident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
Sanville was ticketed on a charge of defective equipment.
