The company developing Buffalo Crossings Assisted Living Facility is looking to secure amenity privileges for its residents.
Specifically, KR Management LLC has asked the Amenity Authority Committee for up to 20 amenity packages for residents of the assisted living facility being built on 20 acres just north of County Road 466 in the Buffalo Ridge area.
“It makes the decision so much easier,” KR Management Managing Partner William Kelsey told AAC members Wednesday morning. “Being a Villager is very important.”
The precedent was set when it was decided to grant amenity privileges to residents of Freedom Pointe.
KR Management, which operates Sumter Place and Sumter Grand on CR466A, has also secured amenity packages for those residents.
AAC Chairman Ann Forrester noted that awarding those amenity packages has been a net gain.
She pointed out that those residents are not overtaxing facilities and the amenity packages provide a stream of income to the AAC.
Kelsey noted that of the 20 amenity packages currently being paid for at Sumter Place/Sumter Grand, only six are being utilized.
The AAC will consider a formal agreement with Buffalo Crossings at a future meeting.
