FROSS & FROSS 29  HARLAN 24

Fross stormed back from a 10 run deficit in the 6th with a 19 run outburst and held off a late  charge from Harlan to remain tied for first place. John Hoover led the victory with 4 hits and 4 RBI’s while Dan McPherson had 3 hits and 3 RBI’s. In the loss Harlan got 3 hits each from Ev Rhyner, Manny Sanchez, Gerry Street, Roy Warter and sponsor Bruce Harlan.

 

MULBERRY 18  SYNERGY 7

Mulberry claimed their share of first place by ending Synergy’s 2 game winning streak. Ed DeMaio led the win with 3 hits including a 2 run homer while Tom Ramberg had 3 hits/3 RBI’s and pitcher Rick Stensen had 3 hits/2 RBI’s. Marty Berger chipped in with 2 triples and 3 RBI’s. Synergy got 3 hits each from Mark Rich and Jim Creed.

 

PAUL DAVIS 13  HUMANA 12 in 8 innings

Paul Davis came back from 5 runs down in the bottom of the 8th on a walk off 2 RBI single by sub Phil Palma. Phil had 3 hits and a walk while Sam Patrick had 3 hits and 3 RBI’s in the win. In the tough luck loss Humana was led by Joe Cataldi, Bob Roth and Jim Kennedy who all had 3 hits.

 

ARDEN 17  PERKINS 10

Arden broke into the win column with a win over Perkins. The win was paced by 3 hits each from Garry Bennett, Tom Bolte, Tim Carroll and John Wyks. Perkins got 3 hits from Jim Morton and George Loew(3 RBI’s), while 4 other players had 2 hits each.

 

SRG 18  IHOP 3 in 6 innings

SRG turned 3 double plays and held IHOP to 9 hits for the mercy rule victory. Their offense was led by 4 hits each from Tom Guinan and Dick Adams while 4 other players had 3 hits each. IHOP was led by Bob Cramer and Wayne Mallory who each had 2 hits, while sub Craig Dahlquist had a 2 run homer.

 

BABIARZ 25  3AMIGOS 13

Babiarz knocked 3Amigos out of a tie for first place behind 4 hits and 3 RBI’s from both Ed Moriarity and Jerry Jensen. Manager Bob Winder had 3 hits and 5 RBI’s while Felix Rodriquez had 4 hits and 6 RBI’s. Bill Pauldine led 3Amigos with 3 hits while sub Kirby Campanella 2 doubles and 3 RBI’s. Three other Amigos had 2 hits each.
