A 50-year-old man from Maine was arrested on drunk driving and drug charges after he was found driving erratically early Saturday morning on Rolling Acres Road.
Lady Lake police arrested Donald Seidel of Gray, Maine near the intersection of County Road 466 and Rolling Acres Road. The officer asked Seidel if he had been drinking, to which he replied he had consumed a few beers.
Seidel failed field sobriety exercises and during a pat down, the officer discovered a brass pipe and marijuana in Seidel’s pocket, according to the arrest report. Seidel later registered .217 and .218 blood alcohol content in a breath test.
Seidel then told the officer he had begun drinking Jack Daniels and Coke at about 5 p.m. that day and smoked a bowl of marijuana. He then went to a bar to drink, according to the arrest affidavit, but Seidel declined to say which bar he had been at, the arrest report indicated.
He was booked at the Lake County Jail and later released after posting $4,000 bond.
