A 38-year-old Deltona man was hospitalized Friday afternoon after his tractor-trailer overturned on Interstate 75 in Sumter County.

The crash occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. near Mile Marker 307. The man was driving northbound on the wet highway when he lost control of the rig, which was reportedly operating with bald tires.

The vehicle rotated into the inside median, overturned and collided with the median guardrail, according to the accident report.

The driver was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
