A date has been set for a meeting of elected officials in The Villages who want to discuss the issue of safety on golf cart paths.
The Multi-Modal Path Discussion Group Workshop has been set for 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 5 at Eisenhower Recreation Center.
Those expected to be in attendance are:
Amenity Authority Committee Chairwoman Ann Forrester.
CDD 1 Supervisor Paul Sykes
CDD 2 Chairman John Blum
CDD 3 Supervisor Steffan Franklin
CDD 4 Chairman Jim Murphy
Project Wide Advisory Committee members Chuck Wildzunas (CDD 5), Peter Moeller (CDD 6), Ron Ruggeri (CDD 7), Dennis Hayes (CDD 8), Steve Printz (CDD 9) and Donald Wiley (CDD 10)
A number of other supervisors and AAC members have indicated they may be in attendance as well.
Proper notice of the meeting will be issued by the District in accordance with the state’s Sunshine Law.
The idea of the workshop has grown out of ongoing discussion about the pros and cons of striping on the multi-modal paths.
