Richard L. “Dick” Koenig, of Lady Lake, FL, died on April 4, 2015 at the age of 82. Dick was born on March 4, 1933 in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Dick is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Mary from Marshfield, Wisconsin; brothers Donald of Marshfield, Wisconsin; William of Merced, California; Jack of Wausau, Wisconsin. After graduating high school, Dick served in the US Army and was stationed in Europe during the Korean Conflict. After military service he married Roberta “Skitch” Miller on May 14, 1955. He is survived by his wife Skitch Koenig of Lady Lake, Florida; his four sons Daniel J. (Joyce) of Westchester, Ohio; Richard W. (Shelly) of West Chester, Illinois; Christopher P. (Tami) of Beecher, Illinois and Kevin P. of Richton Park, Illinois, four grandchildren Michael, Jennifer, Matthew and David, numerous nieces and nephews and too many friends to count. Dick is a graduate of the Dunwoody Institute and the American Institute of Baking. Dick had a long and distinguished career in the baking industry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church in The Villages, Florida on Saturday April 18, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. An additional service will be held in the Chicago area with date and location to be determined.
