A 6,815-square-foot Auto Zone store is being planned to be built at 213 W. Hermosa St. in Lady Lake.
A conceptual presentation for the new store was offered Monday evening before the Lady Lake Commission. The plan won unanimous approval from the commission.
The plan will go to the full commission on May 15.
An Auto Zone is also under construction on County Road 466 at the site of the former Oxford fire station.
Auto Zone has more than 5,000 stores in the United State, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Brazil.
The first Auto Zone opened in Forrest City, Ark. on July 4, 1979.
