Charles H. Lewis, age 95, The Villages, FL, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 under the care of Mission Oaks Nursing Home, Oxford, FL. He was the husband of the Late Arlene Lewis who preceded him on April 10, 2008. Born in Lorimor, Iowa he was a son of the late Charles and Galva Lewis. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII. He was a graduate of the University of Iowa with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He worked 16 years for Springfield Fire and Marine Insurance Company and 19 years for Schermerhorne Fish Market. Charles loved to play golf and watch the Red Sox whenever he could. Charles and Arlene moved to The Villages in 2003 from Springfield, MA. He will be deeply missed by his son, Craig A. Lewis & his wife Lyudmyla of Springfield, MA. He has 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Along with his wife, Arlene, he was also preceded in death by his first wife of over 50 years, “Sally” (Sarah Goward Lewis) and his first son, Ronald C. Lewis. A graveside service will be held the convenience of his family and close friends at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
