William C. Lauck, 82, The Villages, FL passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Pleasantville, NJ. He was a graduate of Pleasantville High School in New Jersey, was a veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Korean War in Japan in the 6409th Squadron Supply (1953-1954) and 664th A.CW.Sq. in Bellefontaine, Ohio (1955-1956). He married Judith Fowler there in 1956 where they raised their family until 1972 when they were transferred to Dayton, Ohio with Super Foods Services in the Merchandising Sales Dept. He retired in 1996 as Vice President of Merchandising/Sales Dept. and moved to The Villages, FL. He was a city fireman in Ohio from 1956-1962; Mr. Lauck enjoyed golf, walking, swimming, yard work, visiting the town squares and traveling. He was preceded in death by his brother James Lauck and sister Janice Dixon. Survivors include his wife of 59 years Judith of The Villages; son Jon (Michelle) Lauck, Plano TX; 3 daughters: Linda Bishop, Kokomo, IN; Barbara (Greg) Rutherford, Hobe Sound, FL; and Carol Patapow, Syracuse, NY; Sisters: Jeanne Riley, Sea Isle City, NJ and Joan Wummer, The Villages; Brother George Lauck, Pittstown, NJ; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home on Monday, June 1, 2015 with visitation from 10 – 11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Villagers for Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162.
