Traffic counters will be in place Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday on the multi-modal path along Buena Vista Boulevard as part of a traffic study.

The traffic study is being conducted by Kimley-Horn & Associates Inc. The study, which will cost about $6,500, was approved May 18 by the Project Wide Advisory Committee.

The study will be reviewed by the Multi-Modal Discussion Group which will meet at 9 a.m. July 6 in the Ashley Wilkes  room at Savannah Center.

District Manager Janet Tutt indicated she expects to have the study submitted by Kimley-Horn in late June.

The study is looking at the addition of reflectors and other markings to enhance safety on the multi-modal paths.

Kimley-Horn traffic engineer Richard Busche is expected to attend the July 6 meeting, Tutt indicated.

She also said she realizes that residents might criticize the study for not being done in peak season, but said the engineer would be taking that into account.
