Nigel Kashad Barker, 21, of Leesburg is free on $3,000 bond following his arrest Saturday by Leesburg police.

Leesburg police had been called to a residence Saturday morning where Barker and the mother of his child had gotten into an argument over a pack of doughnuts, according to an arrest affidavit. The police had been called by the woman’s mother.

The victim had a large scrape on her shoulder and laceration on her lip. The report noted that she had applied fresh makeup in a possible attempt to cover up the injury.

She told police several times that she did not want Barker to get into trouble, the report indicated.

Barker, who had been a member of the VHS Class of 2012, played running back and corner back for the Buffalo.

He is due for arraignment July 8 in Lake County Court.
