A Summerfield man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his pregnant girlfriend over a video game console.
A Marion County sheriff’s deputy was called Saturday to The Villages Regional Hospital and met with the assault victim.
She told the deputy that on Friday, 24-year-old Samuel A. Glover had assaulted her because she could not correct a problem with his XBOX game console.
He allegedly put her in a chokehold and after she fled the residence he chased her down. He allegedly struck her when they were back in his vehicle. Eventually, she was able to contact her mother and got away in her mother’s vehicle.
Glover was booked at the Marion County Jail on a charge of aggravated battery.
