The 2015 Men’s Village Cup tournament will be hosted by Palmer Legends Country Club, Mark Verkey, Head Pro.
Last year the winning team represented Evans Prairie Country Club, with Captain Russ Jimeson as their captain. You could be on the winning team this year. Signups continue through Aug. 20 at Palmer Legends Country Club & Glenview Country Club.
This year there will be 12 teams with Belle Glade being added. Each team will consist of 16 players, 12 playing the blue tees and 4 seniors (over 70) playing the white tees, for a total of 192 players. Players of all handicaps are encouraged to sign-up, and are needed to fill the field.
Qualifying rounds will be Aug. 25 and 26. Open qualifying will be held at Palmer Legends and senior qualifying will be held at Glenview Country Club.
After a pairings party on Aug. 27 at La Hacienda Recreation Center to select the teams, elimination rounds will be held on Sept. 2-4 This is single elimination tournament. The two teams surviving the elimination rounds will play a Ryder Cup Format Village Cup Final on Sept. 9, 10 and 11.
